I have ran three races in 2014.  Instead of running a half marathon in mid April, I ran the 10K event at the same race. I added  another race,  the Novi Half Marathon on May 4th.  Running a half marathon in May gives me a solid 3 more weeks of training which I sorely need in order to race well. You don’t need to be reminded of how tough and long the winter of 2014 has been. I totally forgot to enter the Dexter – Ann Arbor 10K so instead, ran a local 5K event in Northville. That was a very fun and old fashioned race day. I plan to post a separate story of that race as soon as the pictures from that day are posted by the race organizers.

We Won the Lottery!  My daughter Alexis and I were selected to compete in the Chicago Marathon. This will be her very first marathon.  How many other Parent/Child teams have run major marathons together?
